Baileys Caramel Chocolate Freakshake
Baileys Caramel Chocolate Freakshake

A freakshake is basically a completely over-the-top and indulgent milkshake, but these particular freakshakes are for adults only! Sorry, kids! Chocolate and caramel sauce, Baileys milkshake, and any and every chocolate and caramel treat you dare to adorn and balance on top of a cloud of whipped cream. This recipe makes enough to fill one 350ml glass, but you can easily double or triple to make more, or you could split this recipe into two smaller glasses for a much tamer after-meal treat. We topped our freakshakes with Curly Wurly, chocolate caramel Digestive biscuits, chocolate covered wafer fingers filled with caramel, caramel covered pretzels, chocolate sprinkles and even more caramel sauce. Use whatever treats you prefer and have fun! Sponsored by Kenwood

Ingredients

    FOR MILKSHAKE
  • 60ml milk
  • 3 scoops vanilla ice-cream
  • 35ml Baileys Irish cream liqueur
  • <H5H>FOR ASSEMBLY:
  • Caramel sauce
  • Chocolate syrup
  • 60ml double cream, whipped to soft peak
  • Assorted chocolate and caramel treats (see notes in recipe)
  • Paper or re-usable straw

Method

  • 1. Start by popping your drinking glass (or glasses) in the freezer while you gather your ingredients.
  • 2. Once you have everything in place, drizzle the inside of the glass with caramel and chocolate sauce. Pop it back into the freezer while you make the milkshake.
  • 3. Pour milk into blender jug then add ice-cream and Baileys. Place lid securely onto the jug then blend until smooth.
  • 4. Remove sauce-drizzled glass from the freezer. Drizzle more caramel sauce around the rim of the glass then fill the glass with the blended milkshake.
  • 5. Pop a straw into the milkshake. If you’re using any long treats, like a full-length Curly Wurly, pop that into the milkshake as well. Spoon soft-peak whipped cream on top then finish decorating with your choice of treats. (We topped our freakshakes with Curly Wurly, chocolate caramel Digestive biscuits broken in halves, chocolate covered wafer fingers filled with caramel, salted caramel covered pretzels and chocolate sprinkles from the baking aisle.)
  • 6. Drizzle with more caramel sauce and finally finish off with chocolate sprinkles. Enjoy!
