Mon Jan 19 2026

It is officially soup season and all anyone wants is a big hug in a bowl. Soup is such a great way to pack in all of those delicious veggies. Our favourite way to enjoy soup is with some freshly baked sourdough or brown bread slathered with butter and dunked in!
Check out our top 5 soups you will want to make during the cold season.
5. Pea & Mint Soup
Our pea and mint soup is only a handful of ingredients and so easy to make. You can whip up a quick lunch in no time.
4. Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup
A beautifully fragrant and filling soup and perfect for those cold evenings. We used Carols Stockmarket Chicken broth for this soup.
3. Classic Vegetable Soup
Classic Vegetable Soup. Just a handful of ingredients makes this delicious and hearty soup, perfect for cold days! Delicious as a light lunch or as a starter, served with thick slices of brown bread smothered in butter.
2. Roasted Butternut Squash Soup
This hearty soup is rich with flavours from roasted butternut, red peppers, garlic and onion. Fresh ginger adds brightness and warmth while coconut milk adds a creaminess that makes this soup a satisfying meal. While it’s perfectly delicious as it is, you could also add fresh or dried chilli for a spicy kick.
1. Minestrone Soup
Minestrone is a hearty tomato-based soup packed with veggies, beans and pasta. It typically includes onion, carrots and celery, but feel free to use whatever you have in the fridge; green beans, cabbage, courgette, etc. You can also choose the type of beans you want to use as well as your choice of pasta shape. We’ve added bacon lardons to this recipe, but feel free to leave it out if you prefer.
