Introduction

These nut free seeds balls are great as an on-the-go energy-boosting snack. They’re quick to make and will keep for up to 1 week in the fridge. You can also double or triple the recipe and freeze them to enjoy later. Great for lunch boxes!

Ingredients

  • 200g oats
  • 20g milled flax seeds
  • Pinch sea salt flakes
  • 260g tahini
  • 115ml maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50g mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, sesame & flax)
  • 30g milk or dark chocolate chips

Method

  • 1. In a large bowl, mix the oats, milled flax seeds, and salt.
  • 2. Add the tahini, maple syrup and vanilla, then mix well to combine.
  • 3. Finally, add the seeds and chocolate chips. Mix thoroughly.
  • 4. Wet your hands with cold water to keep the mixture from sticking to your hands (shake them off so they’re not too wet) then take a portion of the mixture and roll into a ball (you can make them any size you prefer). Wet your hands as needed and continue rolling the mixture into balls until the mixture is finished.
  • 5. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or frozen in freezer bags for up to 3 months.
