Soup is one of the easiest ways to get nutrition into your family, fast. We are big fans of soup for dinner here at I Love Cooking, bulking them out with pulses and grains to make them more substantial. We have at least one family meal a week comprising of toasted sandwiches and soup, and inevitably it’s the most popular one with our kids. Here are our most sought after soup recipes:
Our Easiest Ever Tomato Soup is ready in minutes and is so popular with kids of all ages. Serve with toasted cheese and pesto sandwiches – it is a winning combination.
Our Kale, Chickpea and Tomato Soup is paired beautifully with Quesadillas stuffed with tomato, onion and cheese.
If you want to make this Thai Chicken Soup more substantial, add a handful of rice or noodles to the soup at the end.
Potato and Leek Soup tastes amazing when topped with a few crumbles of crispy bacon. Pair with a cheese, ham, tomato and onion toasted sandwich.
French onion soup is warming and delicious. Use good stock and always top with a cheesy crouton – it is essential.
