Focus Friday: Boutique Bake

Last year we caught up with Catherine Buggy the creator of Boutique Bake. Since then her business has gone from strength to strength. Catherine has just launched a new health range making it easier than ever to make healthy bakes. Catherine gives us the low down on her new range here:

Can you tell us about your new health range?

There are currently three delicious products in our health range of baking mixes:

• Almond & Cacao Brownie Mix

• Cacao Protein Bites Mix

• Oat & Seed Energy Bar Mix

Each healthy baking mix is designed to be fuss-free and easy to bake up in minutes, using all clean ingredients, ideal for the busy professional or fitness enthusiast. 

The Almond and Cacao Brownie Mix, containing only the purest of ingredients is ready to go in ten minutes with bakers simply adding eggs and bananas to create their finished brownies. 

The Cacao Protein Bites Mix is entirely sugar free containing a mix of nuts, gluten free oats and cacao powder and is entirely sugar free. Bakers are required to add either maple syrup and coconut oil or 12 pitted dates to create these no-bake healthy treats.

Finally, the Oat and Seed Energy Bars Mix contains a blend of six different types of seeds and is ready to go in under 25 minutes with bakers simply adding coconut oil and bananas to their Boutique Bake Mix!

All three mixes from our new health range are certified Gluten Free and suitable for Coeliacs.

What inspired your health range?

The new Health Range comes after many requests from Boutique Bake customers for coeliac, vegan and vegetarian-friendly baking mixes. Boutique Bake are delighted to finally offer customers this entirely gluten and refined sugar free range of delicious mixes, perfect for fitties and foodies on the go! We also wanted to created a range that could be enjoyed every day and that would fit in well with our more indulgent baking mixes, our food philosophy is all about balance! 

What is different about this range?

The quality of ingredients we use compares to no other baking mix currently on the market. There are absolutely no additives, flavourings or colourings in any of our mixes. Our Protein Bite Mix is a brand new product to the market that hasn’t been done before which is very exciting for us! We wanted to introduce balance into the range and create genuinely healthy treats that our customers can enjoy everyday. We also wanted to cater for people that are Coeliacs and have intolerances to wheat. We have also used ingredients such as cacao powder and coconut sugar, which are unique to our range of baking mixes. 

Where can you buy your product and how much does it cost?

Boutique Bake’s new health range is available in over 50 Dunnes Stores nationwide and selected health stores. A full list of our stockists for both our classic and health ranges is available on our website www.boutiquebake.ie. Alternatively, you can order all of our products online directly from our website. We offer next day delivery nationwide! The products range from €4.60 – €6.40.

Whats next for Boutique Bake?

Boutique Bake’s goal is to focus on further growing the brand in Ireland by increasing our distribution levels in stores nationwide. We will also be focusing on driving the business over seas. We have begun exporting the brand into three new European markets but our dream would be to expand further and truly make it an international brand. The next market we would like to pursue would be the UK as there is massive potential for reaching consumers and they have an extended range of artisan and grocery stores.
