Introduction
Halloween Frozen Yoghurt Bark This spooky treat will send shivers down your spine, not because it’s scary, but because it’s frozen! It’s so easy to make and so tasty to eat.
Ingredients
- 500g plain Greek yoghurt
- 3-4 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 small mandarins, peeled
- 2 small bags candy-coated chocolate buttons, roughly broken (we used Minstrels)
- Spooky Halloween sprinkles, optional
Method
- 1. Line a 23cm (9inch) square dish with parchment paper or clingfilm.
- 2. Pour the yoghurt into a medium size bowl and add the maple syrup. Mix it together very well with a spoon.
- 3. Pour the yoghurt mixture into the prepared square dish and spread it out until it’s smooth.
- 4. Arrange single clementine segments over the top of the yoghurt then sprinkle pieces of broken candy-coated chocolate buttons on top. Tip: We put the candy-coated chocolate buttons into a strong freezer bag, then we close the bag and hit the chocolate buttons with a heavy rolling pin to break them into pieces!
- 5. Finally, for some spookiness, sprinkle the top of the yoghurt with Halloween sprinkles.
- 6. Place dish in the freezer until frozen solid, at least 2-3 hours. Once frozen, remove from the square tin and peel away the parchment paper or clingfilm, then cut into squares or jagged pieces with a sharp knife.
- 7. Eat while frozen!
- 8. Frozen bark will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months in an airtight freezer bag.
