The flavours in this showstopper cake are inspired by the flavours of eggnog. The sponge is lightly spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon and the frosting is flavoured with brandy, but you could use your favourite tipple instead. Whiskey, eggnog’s traditional dark rum, Irish cream, even kalua would be delicious options in the frosting. Watch the video here

Cranberry and Orange Bundt Cake – This is a cake with a velvety crumb and flavours of bright orange and tangy cranberries. Not a lot of fuss is needed to decorate it, but it still looks like a gorgeous showstopper with its bejewelled sugared cranberries, and, it feeds a crowd.
A beautiful cake for the holiday season, the sponge is flavoured with warming ginger, cinnamon and a hint of all spice. It’s topped with cream cheese frosting and decorated rustically with store-bought Christmas cookies, berries, or any other festive edible ornaments you can make or find.
For a less intense treacle flavour, you can swap the dark Muscovado sugar for light soft brown sugar. Recipe sponsored by Kenwood Ireland.
This 3-layered showstopper of a cake is a crowd-pleaser! The light, yet very chocolatey sponge layers are sandwiched with a creamy ganache filling. The entire cake is then covered with fluffy marshmallow frosting with a little toasting in places for that feeling of sitting cosily near a fire, toasting marshmallows on the ends of sticks. This cake is luscious, yet it’s also deceptively light. A perfect end to any meal.
