SuperValu Win Big At Blas na hEireann Awards 2017

SuperValu, has lots to celebrate this week on the back of its huge success at the recent 2017 Blas na hEireann awards coming away with a record 124 coveted awards, they picked up 44 awards across its own brand and Signature Taste range of products – winning 10 Gold, 13 Silver and 18 bronze awards while the Food Academy producers went home with a record breaking 80 awards – 30 Gold, 32 Silver and 18 Bronze. 

SuperValu’s Food Academy the unique training programme, run in conjunction with Bord Bia and the Local Enterprise Board founded four years ago with the aim being to support, nurture and mentor start-up food businesses ‘Giving Small Producers a Big Chance’.  Since it started, the Food Academy Programme has been a huge success, with 350 Food Academy producers now selling their products in SuperValu stores all across Ireland.  Proof of the programme’s success is evident in the recent win of 80 Blas na hEireann awards.
