Your Easy Valentines Menu
Thu Feb 02 2017
Right, if you’re planning on impressing your amour this weekend, and don’t have too much faith in your culinary ability, then stick around; we’re going to show you how to create a totally amazing meal, without breaking a sweat. Presenting your easy Valentines menu, created with snuggling and not slaving in mind.
The Starter
The key to creating a workable Valentines menu is in making the starter and dessert as stress-free as possible. Choose something light, bright and tasty, that can be either prepared in advance or in minutes. Simple Seared Scallops are a winner in all departments, ready in minutes and when fully prepared by your fishmonger, involve hardly any prep.
Or you could try:
Crab Claws With Clementine, Pomegranate & Rosemary Butter
Prawns With Chorizo
Sticky Ribs
Asparagus & Parma Ham
The Main Course
The main course is your time to linger at the table and look into each other’s eyes. Choose something that looks fancy, and appears restaurant quality. We love Andrew Rudd’s Beef Wellington when it comes to cooking to impress; serve with steamed veggies and
you can do no wrong.
Or You Could Try:
Honey Roast Duck Breasts
Indian Roast Chicken
Sea Bass With Chorizo Cassoulet
North Indian Prawn Curry
Dessert
Go for a showstopper dessert that can be shared at the table. In our opinion, a tower of profiteroles cannot be beaten when smothered in a rich chocolate sauce.
Or You Could Try:
Quick Chocolate Mousse Pots
Chocolate Biscuit Treats
Cherry Tarts
Eton Mess
