Something brand new, exciting and innovative has happened to Limerick city centre this month – the first Alex Findlater & Co. Food & Wine Hall has opened at 1 O’Connell Street, Limerick, at the heart of the city’s shopping and restaurant quarter.

Limerick hospitality firm the Savoy Group and Findlater & Co., the general grocers and wine merchants brand with a rich and storied heritage dating back to 1823, have come together to create the vibrant new Alex Findlater & Co. Food & Wine Hall, an impressive 18,000 sq. ft. Food & Wine Hall on the city’s main street, and an original and inspirational new resource for food and wine lovers. 

The first of its kind in the city – and the first in what the partnership hopes will be a strong new Irish retail presence, with potential other sites being looked at around the country – the seriously substantial Food & Wine Hall includes a lavish Oyster & Seafood Bar, an upmarket food area, an elegant Bollinger Jazz & Supper Club, and a fantastic selection of over 300 wines from across the globe showcased at the handsome purpose-built wine theatre.

There will also be a flagship Warbler & Wren Coffee House as well as in-house coffee from Lavazza and Robert Roberts, and a full premium food retail experience, making the Alex Findlater & Co. Food & Wine Hall the new go-to destination in Limerick for food and drink shopping, all-day dining and meeting with friends over exceptional coffee, great wines and Champagnes, and delicious dishes from a wide variety of carefully curated menus.

Renowned in Limerick for their exceptional customer service and hospitality skills, the Savoy Group also operates the five-star Savoy Hotel, the George Boutique Hotel, the iconic Hamptons Bar & Grill and Da Vincenzo, the authentic Italian restaurant.
